Accurate CAD Models of Karts?

I’m about to 3D scan and CAD my kart to get a “digital twin” for various purposes. Before I go through the rigamarole, are there accurate models out there that ya’ll like? Pay is fine, but emphasis is on accurate. Scanned then reverse engineered into CAD or direct from manufacturer (less likely).

To give some idea of what’s doable with a scan and scanner:
• Digital “frame table”. Scan reference, scan after incident, compare
• References for interesting bespoke parts. Camera mounts and such. Probably won’t do anything that requires homologation
• Use reference points for things like simulator, bespoke minimalist trailer setup, so on

Thanks!

As an example, the picture below is a scan I did when building my formula sim rig. I used this and scans of an F1 car to make something that was proper and correct. As an aside: something I learned doing this is basically no “formula” sim rigs out there are even close to actual formula seating positions unless they’ve remoted the steering base past the pedals using a steering shaft. Doing that is basically non-optional to be correct.

We will need more images of this sim rig methinks.

Hi Ryan, you can likely conclude from the lack of responses that chassis manufacturers aren’t going to hand out CAD models of their karts.

One thought would be to work with a local team and ask if you can scan one of their new chassis.

I was going to use this one once:
