February 25, 2019 - The American Kart Track Promoters Association, also known as AKTPA Inc., has recently been notified by several of their Track Members that certain people or an organization are speaking on behalf of the AKTPA and their programs. AKTPA Inc. Owners Tim and Betsy Wilkerson are bringing this to the attention of the motorsports community to ensure that their Track Members are not a victim of fraud.

“Nobody should be speaking on behalf of the AKTPA but company principal owners whom are Betsy Wilkerson and myself,” explained Tim Wilkerson. “This is illegal and fraudulent activity which has been reported to local, state and federal authorities. I want to personally warn you, that if you receive a call, or correspondence from anyone, via the United States Postal Service, text, email or any other form of communication, please call our office at 317-501-3377 so we can forward to the appropriate authorities.”

AKTPA Track Member Information:

If you are a member of AKTPA and/or utilized any of their top tier programs, your business would have received the following from the AKTPA office:

  • AKTPA Proprietary Track Pack

  • AKTPA Printed Armbands

  • AKTPA Proprietary Waiver and Release Forms with AKTPA printed on them

  • You would have signed an AKTPA Proprietary Track application contract with automatic renewal and the AKTPA Proprietary sanction agreement contract

Wilkerson continued, “It is very unfortunate that some have chosen to participate in illegal and fraudulent activity. Do not be fooled by this dishonest business practice.”

The objective and goal of AKTPA is simple; to always take care of it’s membership and do it with the utmost professionalism to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
