Hello everyone,
I do endurance races, and the same issue keeps coming up regularly. We have live timing with detailed lap times for everyone, but once we’re back home, we lose access to all that data. It’s impossible to sit down and analyze what our competitors did (pit strategy, lap times, etc.). Some circuits send a PDF, but not all.
I’ve developed a tool to collect all the data from a race. This way, I can access the entire race and the strategies of other drivers.
Do you also analyze the performance of your competitors?
I have a few questions for you to help me understand how to develop this tool in the best possible way and perhaps make it accessible to drivers. Thanks in advance for your help!
What type of races do you participate in most often? (Leisure, endurance, sprint, official competition, etc.)
What data is most important to you after a race? (Lap times, pit stop analysis, comparisons with others, race director’s comments, etc.)
Would you be interested in a tool that allows you to centralize the history of your performances? (For example: gathering the results and data from all your past races on a single platform)
Are there any specific graphs that would be essential to facilitate analysis? (Comparisons between drivers, recommendations based on past performances, etc.)
If you already use telemetry tools (Alfano, MyChron, etc.), do you think such a platform could be useful outside of races, to analyze other drivers’ strategies or to prepare for future races?
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks again for your responses and suggestions! If you’re interested in this platform, I will keep you informed of future developments.
