Does it make sense to use a ColorTune spark plug when setting a Tillotson Diaphragm Carburetor?
I had to do a google search to find out what this is. While the concept looks neat I don’t see how this would help in our application as it looks like it is more of pit/garage tool to monitor idle settings. Karts typically are running high rpm and that also is where we tune the carb, balancing performance and temperature while under high load and high rpm. While I suppose you could set this up with a camera while you are on the track that doesn’t seem practical. Using an EGT would be one way to do this.
