Green track vs race rubber

hi guys just wonder in a general sense what is the lap time difference between a test day and race day, im about 1.2 seconds off the very best race lap record times on test days with say 10 karts running around so not green but not a good rubber line either,

tracks are built on such varying ground with such varying tarmac in such different environments with such varying usage (and the other variable of the other karts and what their performance is) it’s nigh on impossible for there to be a general rule. There’ll be examples of any scenario you can imagine.

thanks Alan, my local track [Newcastle, in Australia] seems to change very often on top of what you have said

Yeah as Alan said, impossible to tell. Weather conditions play an enormous factor, not to mention the rubber being laid down, so really hard to say.
