Can the black coil be used on a pre 08 leopard system? I ordered the wrong damn coil.
You’ll need to change the wire lead connector from the bullet type to a spade terminal. The mounting screws center to center dimension is different. Check the mounting points on the clutch cover, it should have have both mounting (spacing) options. Should not be an issue to use the newer style “coil” on an older Leopard. Comet sells the new style, and has the part catagorized as being for both engine versions.
Might be worth a phone call to double check, but should be OK.
