Rotax evo bogging

Hi Andy @Liverpool , I’m having this bogging problem also coming off corners. Did you manage to sort your issue as mine is pretty much the same. Cheers

Depends how bad the bogging is. As others mentioned, you have to be patient on the throttle. A handful of things to check:

-Packing in the exhaust
-Main jet within range
-Carb float within range
-Reeds in good condition
-Power valve function
-Needle clip position
-Harness condition
-Power valve cables correct
-Dirt in the carb
-Clean air box
-Good spark plug
-No holes in exhaust
-Exhaust ring intact
-Gas oil ratio good
-No cracks in clutch center

Your exhaust pipe has a hole in it?? That’s no good…you’re losing a lot of power, probably over 2 hp. I’ve dyno tested every manner of exhaust leak, dents (depends on location), etc., and they all cost a lot of power. If everything is in perfect order, a bogging Rotax usually means you are too lean on the bottom. But, with a hole in your exhaust, clearly not everything is in order, and I’m sure that’s the source of your issue.
