I heard somewhere that kart tires can be ruined if left inflated for an extended period of time. Is this true? Thank everyone!
Since most kart tires run below 15-20psi and likely would lose pressure over time I don’t see how this is a concern. The bigger concern is time. Tires with or without air that are exposed to air seem to harden and work less effectively.
If you mount and pop the bead on the tire and have to use a lot of air to get it to bead, leaving all that air in could stretch the tire. I have seen it happen in the past.
