What kind of temps do we reach in cylinder?
Depends on the fuel but I guess as much as 1300F with gasoline? A boundary layer protects the piston from melting… well, until it doesn’t.
Boundary layer being oil?
I have seen a 4 stroke video of this, but this is pretty cool for the 2 strokes. Lot of fire at high RPM.
Its funny this was posted today…I was thinking earlier today, does indexing spark plugs (lining up the electrode to a desired location) make any difference in tuning? If it does where do I want the electrode lined up?
