Winter tire storage in sub freezing temps

Do karting tire Mfgs have a threashold temperature for storage? I have been told to keep my Michelin summer tires at 40 or above. I also have Hoosier R7’s and do not let them see anything below 40. Currently my karts and tires are being stored at room temps with the team I run with but I would like to bring them back to my detached, unheated garage in Ohio. Both karts are aircooled and my only concern at this point are the tires. I have Vega reds, Vega rains, and MG reds.

Wrap them in plastic and keep them in your basement if you can. Letting them oxidize or be exposed to temperature fluctuations and especially cold temps will age them prematurely.

Even though I kept a set of MGs in my temp controlled storage one winter, I didn’t wrap them and they ended up being basically useless in the summer, hardening to a point where they were over a second off the pace to a similar set of used tires that weren’t sitting in a storage unit for six months.
