8 Hrs of Joisey - Rebel Scum title defense

Race Movie

@AndreLafond I wonder if we could arrange a sponsorship with these folks. I believe their eyewear is in keeping with the spirit of Rebel Scum Racing.

Dom if you reach out to some random a** companies asking for a sponsorship, it may work. I think we are pretty marketable, who wouldn’t want what we have

I know right? I mean The Rebel Scum is basically re-branded Taylor Swift. I should work on our modeling portfolio.

Genuinely though, if we reach out to enough companies, someone’s bound to respond. Pit viper maybe?

Who should we have working on that email?

Yeah but I’m actually lazy. Andre is the professional who presumably is more motivated.

I could see him on the podium wearing his outrageous shades, thanking his sponsors.

How to best package us? Not sure but something edgy and a bit dangerous. But cute and likeable by children and old people with disposable income.

Some of those are impressively…something. I’d def wear a pair or two to the podium lmao

BMW has been weatherproofed. We are up a driver. We will have matching helmets. Rebel Scum will prevail. (My mental health solely relies on a win)

Love it.

Marc is some sort of mucky-muck in racing. Maybe he should get us a sponsor.

Well that was fun! This year we got manageable weather and sent it to P1.

We overcame a few moments like running out of gas in the early stints, unaware that the karts already had 1hr of time in the tank from practice/quali. Oops! We need to pay more attention in the drivers meeting, methinks.

We also lost a wheel in my later stint, but we weren’t alone as another team had a similar mechanical. Unlike 2024, it wasn’t a wheel-demic where as a group, 25 karts suffered that issue.

We rallied and won, by a pretty healthy margin, which was primarily due to @AndreLafond being on it and consistently fast. @E13 was also a champ and drove aggressive, quick laps. I was a bit of a pussycat, relative to my usual, but my shrink tells me I should try to be kinder so I’m doing my best. I may dial it back up a bit and be more sendy, we shall see.

@EnduranceKarting was fantastic and put on a race that went off without a single hitch, and the mood around the paddock was high. Well done!

Congrats to all who participated and thank you all for racing like ladies and gentlemen. It takes a village to make these races happen and be a good time… you are all champions!

We hope to,see you at PITT and perhaps even OVRP! Thank you all for coming out to race and for making it happen.

Your pals,
-The Rebel Scum

Check out P2-5… epic battle that had the pits on their feet! Some penalties applied but if you look closely, you can see that the finish was very close indeed.

Our heats (minus a few due to human error and overheating older Hero 9)

Wheel go bye-bye
