Custom Helmet Sticker Kits

Can’t wait to see the whole squad kitted out with possums. It will definitely be a head turner.

I celebrate the KDW achievement of the Rebel Scum Design execution but also of Clayton’s recent racing sucess with this remarkable sunset:

Thanks Dom!

Does that camera setup not bother you weight wise? I only ran a chin mount once and could feel it pulling down on my helmet.

Nope! And that’s the lightweight 1 cam setup.
You get used to it and I guess neck muscles develop.

I think I’m just a weight wussy or having the weight off the front of the helmet cantilevered is enough to pull it down.

Looks great!
What helmet is that?

Arai sk-6, the gold standard!

I really do need to replace the gold bolt I lost. @tjkoyen do you sell yellow/gold/purple arai visor hardware

Sure do.

PM me!

Come on man… Why did you have to show me colored hardware was a thing! :upside_down_face:

I will be due for a new helmet end of this year I think. Keep this one for practice and stickering up for photos. We might need to collaborate on a new lid.

How about we make an even deeper rabbit hole… custom interior color fabrics for the padding?

Imagine my helmet with royal purple or gold interior color.

Bell and Stilo offer custom colored interiors by special order. Arai only offers them for their special team drivers.

Can the interior foam padding be removed? I believe only a small portion of my Bell does around the cheeks, but not all. I have some pretty acidic sweat that has effected the interior and would love to just simply refresh the liner on my helmet.

Technically you can remove all the interior padding on a Bell, as it’s just hot glued in (some models are just friction fit), but the factory recommendation would be to not do that. You cannot remove the Arai interior. It’s basically welded in with epoxy. Stilos are velcro’d in but again, factory would say not to do that.

Most helmets, Bell included, allow you to remove the cheekpads and chin pad for cleaning or replacement.

If your padding or interior is super affected by your sweat, it’s likely the foam is starting to break down as well, and that would be time to replace the helmet. That’s why it’s usually recommended that you replace a helmet every 3-5 years depending on usage. The interiors break down from sweat and pressure and don’t perform as well in impacts.

Well there’s a market that needs some filling

Yeah it’s pretty bad…. new in 2020. Was one of the very first RS7K Lightweights. Picked it up directly from Bell in NC.
I try to wear a headsock, but it comes to a point here where you just can’t in the heat here. I clean them pretty regularly. Maybe it’s my sunscreen or shampoo or something making it even worse.
My buddy at Bell left so I’m guessing if I asked for purchasing new foam I’d probably get a no.

Tanguy sweated first in this helmet. I bought it almost new from him. But he’s the biggest sweat I know so it’s probably aged extra since he wore it.

I took Nick karting and at the end of the session his neck was all black from the old foam

I haven’t had it that bad, but the fabric over the foam is pretty shot.

Ooo0

Note the Shiny Korsaport stickers which are way cool.
