It fully depends on the series.
I have a lot of Garmin products. They have good hardware but their business practices with in user privacy and security have been sub par. To be fair, they have improved.
I already hated using the subscription based mylaps. Somehow Garmin will find a way to make it worse.
I agree. I highly dislike the MyLaps subscription structure. Although unfortunately, it makes sense. There is a small market for these items, so not many ways to continue making money off people other than the subscription format. It is hard to continually add features to what is essentially just a beacon.
I think Garmin probably wonât touch the motorsports items for a while. I think they acquired it mainly for the traditional sports race timing devices/technology that MyLaps has because that business segment is much larger for Garmin.

BTW, our transponder is in a pouch bolted to the front bumper and #64 has his on the front upright for his driver fairing.
I honestly couldnât remember the price, just that I had to pay to get the app then pay to see basic things that are free on every other app then my wife had to pay for everything all over again to get it on her phone this weekend. Itâs glitched in some way every time weâve used it, no better than the free ones (but probably no worse).
