I’d like to fit two front wheel-speed sensors and take the average… The ebox can take two speed channels. Then compare that to the latest generation gps. That with the rpm graph should give a pretty good idea of how reliable the gps is.
Having bought and used the newish Alfano 6 I think some things are better than others.
Using it for analysing lines - no. Not accurate enough consistently
Using it for analysing speed - possible. However still less accurate than using a magnetic sensor for sure.
Using it for lap time - yep. Having compared lap times against a mylaps transponder, the times are within 0.1 of each other pretty consistently
