If you want to stay competitive you need to change piston every 8 hours but if you only want to have fun yeah I can see that, though there’s the risk of the piston getting stuck
It gives better bottom end
How much performance loss on a DD2 are you seeing after 8 hours?
Or are you talking about x30?
dd2, some tenths, though I know some that change piston after 10 hours.
In general the engine mechanics recommend change of piston every 8 hours, at least where I live
