what the solution to your original problem? was it a pop-off issue like Larry was saying?
That is pretty much the same for all 2 strokes except for shifters. It has to do with the tuned pipe and where the power band falls. Most 2 strokes are designed with a relatively narrow power band and if you fall out of it, it can take some time to get back into it where it wants to pick up revs again. In a shifter, they just downshift until the engine revs are back in the band.
