This has been mentioned before I believe once but after watching kartmasters today I’ve noticed nearly every kart is using the KG bodywork ? Can anyone shed some light on why it’s become mega popular ? Is it lighter or is the aerodynamic effect that much better from it ?
To be honest it’s often a case of “top driver does something and everyone else follows” or “driver that didn’t quite have their setup
That said I’ll defer to anyone that has some sort of empirical data on any advantages found I’d be interested in seeing it

General consensus is they are less prone to drop downs. I don’t frequent the modern scene much anymore, but t think that’s more of an influence than perceived aero.
