Add it to the sage wisdom list. Thank you, sir!
This got me thinking. Is that really the case, media wise?
Curious thing, if you look up the pros, precious few seem to have any presence of their own. Ryan does.
He has a pretty good amount of subs, but as the American GOAT you’d have thought he’d have more.
The majority of pro stuff seems to be via media orgs like:
Their sub numbers aren’t huge either.
Ok so let’s compare to some current and previous club/rental type YouTubers:
It seems to me that non-pro, club/rental is just as relevant, broadly. And, I have no clue who is “hot” these days, content wise.
One a personal note, rental stuff does seem to be more important than club stuff in terms of getting views. When I started doing the Supercharged League, my subs grew dramatically. I am closing in on 1k. The huge spike is that:
“Shorts” are what generate the most views but don’t really generate subs. Low quality views. But, a short of mine can hit 10k views, which is a lot (for me). I don’t really make shorts because I don’t like chasing views.
My objective with the YouTube has always been to provide good quality footage of a competent driver so that folks learning have something to refer to when figuring out line and inputs.
Cameron is a pro racing driver technically, he just does a lot of rental karting content, which yea kind of states your point. But red exions is a pro Karting driver, does the dutch rotax and tillotson t4 championship i think
Ah my bad! Apologies to Mr Exions.
It is weird though that so few intl pros seem to have social media channels.
Eh not many people seem to care really. Im not a huge fan of being in front of cameras too, so i kinda lack any motivation or care to document anything i do.
