I’m not sure on both. They have not said exactly how the CAN will be configured or used yet. I am hopeful for a new MyChron Expansion, but nothing announced. I hope it is like the ACC3.
I’ve got some data I can share from a MyChron 6 now if people would like it. Shoot me an email and I’ll send it along. [email protected]
This one is a pretty standard time distance showing speed, rpm, and long G. I like Long G to show my (poor) brake work.
I like a view similar to this showing the friction circle top right colored by speed, historgram of speeds colored by RPM next to it, and the standard time distance below. The track map is colored by clutch slip (RPM/speed).
The segment report - shows I was consistent but certainly at a plateau. I was 2 seconds off the class leader, so I was driving to a comfort level.
I purchased the Mychron 6 for steering angle, even though I was super skeptical it could be accurate. I didn’t think AIM would do it if it wasn’t. I finally got to test it today and was pretty disappointed.
First, I don’t see any way to have it display split times? I used these a lot with the 5 (which I luckily didn’t sell). Second, the steering angle sensor has no way to set center. It took a while to get it exactly centered. Then it randomly would say it was turned ~20 degrees when it wasn’t, just sitting in the pits on the ground. Restarting it seemed to make it go back to 0. Then driving, the steering angle was just all over the place…
I’m just going to say I wasted $600 and put the 5 back on with a physical steering sensor.
Can you shoot me an email? I want to help you out and get things working right. There is nothing I can do about the split review right away (that was only on the 5 so far), but we should figure out what is going on with the steering position. My email is [email protected]
