Goodness, glad he’s ok. Not the greatest intro lol
Let’s get wet…
Glad he’s ok but dayum boy, why’d he turn in towards the stopped kart instead of following the dude in grey through?
Exactly what I was thinking, the first time I watched it I instantly thought stay straight to the left. But he is new to that type of race so he isn’t used to probably having to make those instincts yet.
Heck of a nice job reeling in the leaders. Made it look easy and you blew by them on the straights. The triple bump entering the bottom chicane seems like it’s gonna throw you out of the kart!
I really like the butterfly steering wheel you got there @CrocIndy !
It’s a really comfortable wheel but it really needs to sit higher than a normal wheel to be any good.
Line looks pretty good but you seem to be early apexing two a lot. Is that by design?
im still learning the ka but im trying to hit a early apex so i can cary a lot of speed on the blue and white stuff
I’m not sure that’s correct. Let me try on sim and I’ll report back.
it probably isn’t thats why im hitting the apex early i will try to fix that when i go to amp today
Maybe try holding left edge wider before turn in. You seem to be 6" to the right of the track limits
I’m inclined to agree, left tyre should be on the white line when you turn in, and you’re a country mile away from the apex track limit most laps. Try keeping far left and turn in slightly earlier - get the right tyre on the white line at the apex.
A later apex will actually carry more speed on corner exit, because it allows you to get back into the throttle before apex and drive through it rather than an early apex and driving away from it. Just some food for thought.
Here’s a quick video on how our adventure at Battle at the Brickyard went this year. We’re hoping for a little better next year.
Jeez that was rough. Was she ok?
Dang those things you can’t control always suck
Hope she was alright
But you know you’ll get em next year
She was knocked out for a few seconds, took an ambulance ride to the hospital, and was admitted for a few days. However, she was admitted not because of the crash, but because she was in diabetic ketoacidosis and was subsequently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. So, it was a blessing in disguise to have that accident. She did have some whiplash, but that was all. She was back racing at the next race.
That’s good to hear, sometimes seemingly bad things happen for a reason. There’s always a good thing that can come out of a bad thing
