What is karting anyway?

Is this is kart?

Kart or not it sounds awesome!!!

Kart? Sorta. Technically yes. I suspect they were going more for a “racing lawnmower” classification.

Terrifying? Yes?

Cool? Absolutely!

I wonder how long you can drive that before you are deaf, and your vision is swimming from the exhaust in front of you.

Or the toes on your right foot ignite. :flushed:

Those nerf bars look like they would hurt in a rollover… Wild looking ride!

It’s America is what that is…

1000% guarantee if you pointed it out to the owner his answer would be “bro, I don’t crash”

Put that on a stand outside of your tent and a few questions will be asked.

Silly thought but if I ran a tent program or shop, I’d want to have a couple curious beasts like this on display, just to create conversation and interest.

I actually had the chance to give a TED-talk style karting talk at my company’s annual retreat last year. Had to reference Senna’s quote about karting being the purest form of motorsport.

Like others have said, karting is unadulterated racing, that you can use as a stepping stone or you can get lost in for a lifetime. It brings me together with my sons, my father-in-law, and other family. We’ve all learned more about racecraft, mechanics, physics, analysis, success and defeat.

It’s everything I’ve wanted in racing, in an affordable, approachable package.

I wish there was some way to communicate this, it gets lost in the aspirational aspect of karting relative to other forms of racing.

That’s terrifying… but it looks like fun (once). Enter it in Death Race 2000!!!
