Who Makes What (2022)

Not mine to release.

I was given Billy Vincent’s phone and email from someone through the WPK Facebook page, I emailed and left a phone message inquiring about a Canadian distributor and never got a response.

They’re getting back from Vegas right now. I’ll get on him about it when we’re unloading everything

According to the Kart Republic site, United States and Canada are served by Kartsport North America.

In theory though anyone could send you a kart

True, I could order from anyone, but ideally I’d prefer to deal with a brand that has local representation, so I’m not ordering spare parts from North Carolina or Indianapolis after a crash.

Birel prices in Canada are so favorable that I would’ve bought one and paid the duty on it and still been way ahead of buying any “big-name” kart in the USA had I been able to bring it over.

Do any importers or manufacturers want to supply sales or production figures so they can change their place on the 2022 list? I can keep them confidential if you want or advertise the number on the thread if you prefer.

True, I can throw a rock in any direction and hit someone that drives a Birel up here. I know of at least 5 Birel dealers in Ontario alone.

That being said, I’ve never noticed the Birel chassis being significantly less expensive than anyone else up here.

Where are the Swiss Hutless karts made? I know they are an independent.

They used to be independent, now it appears they are made by Birel. That’s new for this year’s homologation I believe.

I was wondering that. Thank you!

Just saw that. An end of another era in karting. It is tough to compete.

My big question and looking to purchase is, are all OTK brands the same but with a different color scheme? Like if you bought an EOS chassis is it going to perform the same as a Tony Kart?

Yes, exactly the same. Only differences are: Powder color, Name on steering wheel, and graphics kit.

Exactly the same kart, as Derek said.

Quite an interesting branding case study. Definitely flies in the face of virtually everything that is taught in brand strategy classes.

I think it has more to do with placating dealers and their territory assignments than anything else.

That makes more sense to me. Within an hour or so from me i can buy a Tony Kart, EOS, Redspeed, Kosmic, and Exprit. No way there would be 5 dealers all selling Tony Kart branded karts in that area.

KR FAKart best chassis on the market

Haase, Mach 1, and Corsa Racing Kart are one company.

Correction. Haase and corsa are one, mach1 does its own thing
