I would race with drivers who had the same experience of racing without bodywork on a sprint kart, I did so for many years. IMO the advent of more plastic and bumpers has caused a general decline in driving standards with a slide in and push ( with the pods) approach to passing becoming the norm, something that did not exist in the earlier days (80’s and earlier) . Today’s drivers probably could not break the habits that the rules have created so for general racing it would certainly be “high risk” .
