Do KR karts come with 68mm PCD rims front and rear or just front? I have two wet sets of magnesium rims that have 68mm PCD front and rear and i am unsure if they are KR rims
Ye, KR pattern all around.
As far as I know, AMV is the only manufacturer that makes wheels in KRâs 69mm PCD.
Do these look amv KR wheels? I had them for a while and i am not sure what they are for. Front and rears are the same 68mm pattern and they are magnesium
They look like 9F. The telltale sign for AMV wheels on KR is usually a big black label that indicates that they are AMV made specifically for Kart Republic.
The guys at AMV have told me that they donât make 9F for KR, but you never know what happened in the past as a limited run or one off.
These are definitely odd rims, they are magnesium but are wet rims. Always thought the way to go with wet rims is aluminium. Is there a way to find out exactly what these rims are so that i can advertise them properly? Shame the rears are 68mm as i could make use of these rims on my crg chassis
I found the answer. It is not an AMV wheel. It is a âknock-offâ that was made in Slovakia. It is actually 67mm and was made for Parolin.
Front should fit CRG, rear â good luck.
thanks for the info Paul, do you have a link with some info for these rims?
Did you just ask the AMV guy to provide you a link for info on knockoffs of his wheels?
i am trying to identify what i have, i canât see any issue with asking a question if someone has the answer and can help, irrelevant of what brand is representing!
Parolin markets a lot of their components under the âEurostarâ name, and Iâve seen some Parolin wheels labeled as such before. Could be worth a search.
Otherwise, theyâre likely just a standard magnesium wheel with extra holes for cooling. Any other pertinent info would be just dimensions which you could measure.
Probably KKart or ElZet
Horrible finish on their magnesium stuff. Oxidizes in what seems like 5 seconds.
