So I was interested in buying a lifepo4 TAG battery that comet kart sales use to carry. Someone named Joe76 sent me a private message through the forum and said to get ahold of this guy, we went back and forth in January, then I forgot all about it. Emailed him Friday and the email bounced back, but I remember I had a phone number so I called him, he had a strange accent, but when I asked him the price we agreed to $80 for 2 plus shipping. He said send PayPal, but only friends and family, he gave me another email which PayPal blocked. I told him and he said he was having issues so he gave me another email, at this point in figured it was a scam, also the box he showed me was huge! I finally told him to pound sand. Anyways beware of these emails, and Joe76 in this forum.
If someone asks you to only use PayPal Friends and Family, it is 100% a scam.
Yeah, pissed me off because I really needed that battery!!!
