Bleeding Freeline brakes without bleeding screws

Hello, any suggestions how to bleed brakes on an old Birel kart that has no bleeding screws? I’ve got the gravity bleeder tool, the master cylinder has no reservoir tank. Can I bleed through the banjo fitting?

Since the banjo is effectively the highest point, that should work, but make sure you’re slowly pumping the m/c while closing it so it doesn’t hold a little air bubble… The good old ‘banana’ brakes… Also, they make add-on reservoirs for the m/c that screw in to the 10mm hole (or whatever it is) so that may help you.

Thanks! Forgot to mention the “fill plug” on master cylinder is under pressure so when I open it, the fluid would splash really high. I’ve heard about a term “reverse bleeding” but can’t figure it out. I’ll have a go unscrewing the fill plug slowly, put gravity bleeder into m/c and bleed through banjo.

Ok managed to bleed it but now ended up with different problem (shocker, right) - wanted to change pads aswell but the new ones seem to be too thick?

You have the pads for the older version of the banana brakes. You need the thinner pads that are kinda copper colored.

Thanks, was thinking it’s the cheaper b-part, will order the correct ones. I suppose I just cant grind their thickness off to fit?

You could but keeping it true would be a trick!
