Last week at the track another karter borrowed my brake tower. How should I clean it? Rinse with water? It is freezing outside - laundry sink okay? Brake cleaner?
Why does the OTK master cylinder have the screw/hole where the tower attaches? Why can’t one just keep the reservoir topped off?
When the other karter was using the tower, they had to close the valve at the bottom when depressing the brake pedal when they wanted to bleed fluid through the master cylinder, lines, caliper, and out the bleed nipple. They seemed to be unsure this was necessary. Can someone clarify this please?
I will need to replace the pads soon. So I just remove them (including the safety stuff), somehow spread the pistons and install the new ones. And while doing this make sure the reservoir doesn’t overflow? Or?
Thank you in advance.
