I have a KA100, and I have disassembled the motor a few times when diagnosing a non-spark issue. And I have a decent grasp of most things on the motor except the magneto. I literally don’t understand it. I just line up the lines on the rotor and the aluminum of the motor and pray it starts.
It sounds like you might be asking about ignition timing maybe?
