Hi.Recently just brought a used kart and this set of rims came with it and it doesn’t look smooth as other mag rims and I’m wondering if it’s normal to look like this. Appreciate the help
AMV Rims, and yes, I believe they’re supposed to look like that.

Yes, pretty typical oxidation of a magnesium wheel with chromate coating that has been well-used and not received a lot of TLC.
thanks for the info. is it something that i need to be concern and any tips or advises that i can do to remove or clean it up?
I have never done it but I have heard baking soda does wonders to clean it up. I am not sure of the technique though. baking soda and water I presume
No need for concern. Just does not look fantastic. Magnesium oxidizes very easily, the chromate finish is to protect against oxidation but it wears off over time.
