Cleaning the Air Filter

Hello all,

I’m just getting back into karting after a 20+ year absence. This is a super-simple question, but I didn’t see it mentioned so I’m going to go ahead and ask it…

Is there a preferred method to cleaning and oiling the foam filter in the airbox? I was going to gently use soap and water to wash it, let it thoroughly dry, and then spray it with some K&N air filter oil (I have it).

Is that good or is there some high-tech method I need to follow?

You want to use the K&N air filter cleaner IMO. Just follow directions. Spray on/soak. Let sit for 5 minutes. Flush out with hot/warm water until clean.

Air dry and final spray out dry after sitting. Air filter oil, depends on who you ask. Welcome back!

Yes thats a good way . Yep

I use K&N cleaner and oil for my lo206 air filter. Works very well!

I drop them in ultrasonic cleaner w/ fresh water, no detergent.
