Cleaning White Bodywork

Hello All,

I’ve recently gotten back into karting after a 20 year hiatus, I’ve spent a bunch of money (I knew this part was coming, and understandable). However, the white body work on the kart I purchased, while in good shape, needs to look “white” again.

I’ve scrubbed, cleaned, used Magic Eraser, etc. and it still only looks maginally better. I’ve searched and searched but have not been able to find the magic combination to get things looking “white and bright” again.

Help? Any help or tips appreciated!

Have you tried Wesley’s Bleach White spray? I’ve found it works really well. You can usually find it at most auto parts stores

Is it dirty oilysh ?

Or is it aged yellowish plastics ??

Diffirent approach.

I always used brake cleaner or starting fluid on white OTK bodywork.

A touch of both actually.

I’ve not tried (or heard) of this. I’ll grab some this weekend and give it a shot!

This works pretty well also.
