CompKart Ranger - Freeline - PedalBox

Hello,

Thank you for all the help!
I have yet another issue.

Trying to install the Freeline Hi-Tech pedal box on the CompKart Ranger chassis.
First.
When mounted the box in the slotted holes the box was sitting too low with the two provided spacers. The HiTech pedals and screws were rubbing on the frame.

I 3D printed an extra 12mm spacer.
The pedals clear the chassis now. But the throttle cable comes out on such a big angle that I’m afraid it will rub and snap over time.
I did not check the brake pedal yet.

Also I’m not even sure the box does much as it just elevated the feet not brought them much closer.

Attaching some photos.

Not sure if I should continue with this box on this chassis. Unless there is some kind of a bracket I can use.

Thank you!!

Drill some new holes in the pedal box so you can mount it further back towards the steering column. You’ll then likely need to make a bracket for the throttle cable so the cable goes above the track rods with the adjuster at a better angle.

You might have a platform for the full size kart and not the cadet? Something does seem off here.

Let me flip through my pictures and see if I can find a picture of how the little guys had their karts setup from when I was under the Compkart tent.

You can gently bend the tab backwards on the throttle cable mount to assist in the steeper angle.

Wow I would greatly appreciate that!

Sorry. No luck. If you’re not getting a solution here you can send some pictures via email to the Compkart guys. They are usually pretty quick on helping.

Hey!
I did. I reached out to them. There is a bracket that goes with the Freeline pedal box that mounts on the Ranger chassis. The BirelArt C28 has a different steering column stay.
It looks like this is the only way to properly mount the box.

I ordered the bracket. They don’t sell is separately. I guess I got a tiny bit lucky.

Thanks guys.
