So I’ve been looking at the manual kart starters and they all seem to come in around $400. I’m not want to spend that kind of money on one so plan to make my own. I can fabricate pretty much anything but I was wondering if anyone else had done this before. I’m sure someone has done it. I would be interested to see what parts were used and how it was built. If anyone has any links or photo’s of homemade starters it would be great if you could share them, thanks.
Rotax starters in general are very reliable. When I ran Rotax, I rarely maybe never had a starter problem. Have you checked the engagement drive sprocket for any excessive friction.
I have not done that, not exactly sure how to do it. I will do some research. Thanks.
