Engine mounts 1pc vs 2pc

Does a 2 piece engine mount adjust tightness by sliding the top piece independently from the bottom or is it still done by moving the whole mount (both pieces) forward and back like a single piece mount?

What are the benefits of 2 piece?

Are all 2 stroke engines the same hole configuration?

The two piece mount has one piece that attaches to the chassis tubes (compression). The engine is bolted to the second piece.

The two assemblies are bolted together and these bolts slide in slots.

To adjust the spacing between the engine and the axle, you loosen the bolts in the slides, slide the engine and then tighten them.
