Please forgive the lack of timeliness, but I was traveling at the end of SuperNats 27 and ended up not catching everything that came out the last day and half of it. Catching up on things that I missed, and came across this amazing video by KartChaser that chronicles the year and half long battle that has been waging between Ryan Norberg and Joe Turney. It’s a short video, but is easily the most intriguing storyline and promotion piece I’ve seen in my 8 years in the karting world. The driver personalities and talent are there, there’s a real story arc and emotion. The story itself, the imagery, and the racing are engaging as heck.
Just had to point it out because it’s so belabored about how karting doesn’t have enough of any of those things (intrigue, driver personalities/talent, compelling stories/action) to be a force in the racing-consumer market, or to even generate driver-celebrity interest within the karting world itself.
