Hmmmm this is why I dislike Dubai somewhat for Sodi races. Rookies sounds even worse than regulars, stewards do f all. You should come down to Yas one SWS night just for the comparison. It’s like night and day.

Lap 1 is always brutal in SWS especially in endurance races where there are 40-50 karts. The lack of risk of breaking the kart makes everyone braver with aggressive moves/divebombs and many tracks tend to be more lenient with first lap incidents. Every time I qualify midfield I get nervous for the race because those guys are not giving you an inch of space.
All that matters is having fun though.
had fun also my dad managed to record some of my overtakes when I threw a dummy and just did a clean switchback

Before i asked here Not really but after atleast I was aware what will happen yea i expected it especially getting pushed off the track a 1000 times i definitely learned something but I still managed to pull off some overtakes
small issue with dubai is they made u draw the kart numbers for each sessions/race like even if u get a bad kart in a way u brought it into urself for race 1 my braked werent fully functional race 2 my kart when i brake the throttle has no response and I wasnt able to always pull of senna’s throttle technique which helped a lot in quali and first race
This is normal, it might even be in the SWS regs for the center. Anyway, all races are like this wherever you’re racing - it’s not so they can say well you picked the kart it’s your fault it’s bad it’s so there cannot be any favoritism from the organizers toward a particular driver or drivers by giving them the best kart. Rentals are never equal, it’s the luck of the draw as they say.
As you do more races you’ll learn the differing trait disparity between karts and learn how to drive around those traits. Basically adjust your driving to get the best out of that particular kart.
Yas is my preference these days, the karts are way better (Forsan have SR5 Yas have RT10). Forsan to be honest the current CEO couldn’t care less about karting and it shows. When I first came to UAE 12 years ago it was superb, now I rarely go there.

yea race 1 my brakes werent the best and I adjusted my line to it and it worked out
but what happened with forsan does the ceo just cares about the money part more than the passion for karting?
Forsan has soooooo much to do - shooting 25m/50m/300m/skeets, equestrian, wake boarding, massive gym, padel, 5-aside footy pitches, paintball and karting. Karting is at the very bottom of his things to care about, sadly because it could be fantastic managed right.
Passion is nothing if you don’t have money to operate the track. Ask me how I know
