For the first time in my life, I went indoor karting, and at a K1 Speed. I was visiting family in Western Ontario for the week, and for my last day before hitting the airport, I spent time in Mississauga doing a few activities. One of those activities just so happens to be karting. Now, Ontario and January doesn’t mix well, so Hamilton Karting Complex wasnt open, but the K1 Speed was. I had a camera strapped to the top of my helmet for the second session, feel free to watch the footage of me enjoying myself!
I have complaints, mainly with the lack of adjustment for tall people like me (hence why my foot was stuck on the brake on accident a few times), but otherwise I really enjoyed my first visit at one of these places. At least my parents now understand the hype around my business plan…
Looking good! Indoor is awesome, particularily for those of us that live in real winters! In an ideal world I’d love a facility that has a track that is both indoors and outdoors.
K1 Speed Canton Ohio is the only K1 Speed with indoor / outdoor track. Also only one with 1/2 hour Endurance Race and 12 Hour Races. They run custom Lithium batteries designed by owner of Canton K1 Speed. They just ran a Endurance test for the Lithium batteries for the 12 hour race and they ran 104 laps of the indoor course before they died . My grandkids youtube channels are ( K1 Racer ) and ( K1 Racer Girl ) to see what’s at K1 Speed Canton Ohio. Here is a video of place indoor / outdoor track…
