Silverstone my favorite race of the season coming up this weekend. I raced karts there at the British kart GP for ten years in a row:)
Going to be between Lando and Piastri unless something goes wrong for either of them. Maybe this is the weekend Lewis gets on the podium with Ferrari!

Saw the f1 movie and was entertained more than I thought I would be. It’s not deep, but it’s a fun blockbuster type film. Very corporate and a puff piece for f1 marketing but quite enjoyable.
Well Lewis got on the podium in practice at least 
A skinny rear wing seems to be the key, at least for qualy.

Love Max saying the car is super difficult on the first try and then blitzing the second try. He can just wring every ounce of performance from a car. But if he is saying the car is tough, Yuki just has no chance. If Red Bull want to challenge for the Constructor’s again they NEED to stop leaning on Max to drag the car up. Without Max they would be last in the Constructors points…
I thought Hamilton had the sauce on that final run but he was just a bit off in the final sector. He did amazing to use that home crowd to fuel him up there. Ferrari looks a bit stronger here if a bit inconsistent still.

Interesting qualy. Max always complaining about the car and ends up on pole. No denying his superior talent but would like to see a George Russel or Chaz LeClerc in the second Redbull to get a better read on things.
Still think Lewis could be a contender for a podium tomorrow but it is so tight at the top. Think it’s about time for some fireworks at the front instead of all this pussy footing around
For someone who barley watches f1, must say it’s fascinating to see how teams seems to change over time. Interesting to see the Williams doing well, when I first started slightly paying attention they were in the back and really struggling. if I’m not mistaken, I saw one in q2. I felt for Claire as she seems like a good egg.

The penalty on Piastri is so BS though, wtf
I think Oscar’s penalty was warranted. It was an aggressive brake stab, double what we saw Russell do in Canada, and in the poor conditions it could’ve caused a massive accident. Max had to evade pretty aggressively.
Other than that though, Oscar deserved to win that race on outright speed. Still nice to see Lando get a win at home.

Amazing to see Hulkenburg get the podium, I was sweating those last 10 laps paying attention to only he and Hamilton.
I think Oscar warranted a penalty with the way he hard accelerated like the race was starting and then dead stopped, but 10 seconds was excessive. Not sure if the stewards felt they needed to make an example due to safety concerns.
