OK now you outnerded me.

Brave is based on Chrome so it has all the good features of Chrome but without Alphabet spying on you constantly. It also has a built-in Tor browser and an available built-in VPN.
Ungoogled chromium is another one. I think I got it to work with Netflix, so there might be hope for F1
Q1 on full wets… one of the few official sessions I’ve seen every car use the wets and not the inters.
In Vegas of all places. They get all of 4” per year and it rains for supernats and F1.
Looks like dry and high 50s for tonight.
Still my favorite for working with Linux, Android, Windows, and RPi. Great choices of ad blockers and the tab sharing, bookmark and password sync works great.
Brave isn’t a bad choice either.

well, something interesting to wake up to.
McLaren - it was the best of times and the worst of times.
The drivers have to be pissed, all that effort for nothing.
Rules is rules, but dang. Measurements of the plank on Norris’ car were off by less than 0.15mm for a part whose purpose is to contact the road.
“The Team argued that mitigating circumstances existed in that there was additional and unexpected porpoising at this event, limited opportunity to test due to the weather on Day 1, and shortened practice sessions.”
Feel like the team’s argument had some merit, but it’s the stewards opinions that matters.
That rule is black and white and caught out a number of teams in the ground effect era. Big implications but realistically Lando still has one hand on the title. Unless they make a mistake like that again.
loved Lando going aggro into turn one but he totally botched it. Mega stint by Antonelli to make the tires last and have great pace there at the end.
Same thing that got Ferrari excluded in China. Black and white rule really with no precedent for excuses. Apparently landos crew had some idea it was a risk and that was why he was heavily coasting in the 2 or 3 laps.
Does make the last two race weekends more interesting though.
I see a few people say how close it was, but I guess we need to know what margin teams usually give themselves. 1mm can have a decent effect on aero.
First off all the plank needs to be 10mm when installed, and are allowed to wear down to 9mm.
So there is all ready 1mm of magin, what i really dont get, why on earth take the risk on Lando`` s car when he had that Big a points lead, i get why they would do it on Oscar`s car.
Really unfair to Lando who will now have way more pressure on him because of the team’s mistake. He drove well today.
Its not unfair, there is a huge performance gain in running the car as low as possible.
1mm in ride height is a big amount. So presumably wear is factored in. So it’ll be near .1mm in margin of error vs 1mm.
Thinking more about it, I guess what really gets me scratching my head is the scale of the penalty given out for plank violations in general, especially when contrast with other penalties that frequently occur on race weekends.
For instance, aggressively swerving another driver, even to the extent that it might cause the other driver to crash is likely to result in one or more of the following penalties: docked finishing positions, a stop and go penalty, grid position penalty at the next race, penalty points, etc.
But in all those cases - none of them are nearly as severe being outright DQ’ed. So I guess 1/10th of a millimeter shorter plank really is that much worse than driving someone into the grass/barriers. ![]()
(Whether the the penalty levied is rational or not, the ruling in Vegas has been applied with consistency as compared with other plank violations in other races - that’s not what I’m questioning. I’m questioning the severity of the penalty going forward in the case of future violations)
Early departure from this earth means we can never truly summarize his career in full and he is STILL the greatest to ever do it. I have to say, after hearing some of the stories in person from his engineer it became very clear to me that he was miles beyond any other driver (in my respectful opinion to all other world champions who have done more than I ever will in a car).
Senna’s death is one of the greatest losses in racing and in the world due to what he was going to do to help children and other people after his career. That is the true gravity of the loss. His ability as a driver I believe was a window into allowing him to become an instrument for God and peace.
The story Nichols confirmed about Senna feeling the rear tire being 1mm bigger than the other in rolling circumference was part of what did it for me. Apparently he felt this difference after moving the car 5 feet. My brain couldn’t even compute this and the stories kept going. The tire barrier at Monaco is another one.
Going over data with him in the after hours of a race and hearing him compare my throttle trace to Ayrton was an experience I can’t put into words. Senna? Goat….
Goat goat goat goat goat.
