Front Tyre Wear Pattern

These tyres (LeCont LH03) have been used over the course of 3 seperate test days, each a week apart, and have a total of about 100 laps on them.

On my most recent 2 test days I made a few big changes in my set up and the kart has felt better than it ever has, and I’m doing laps as fast as the top guys in my class. The thing is that since then, my front tyres have been wearing like pic shown. I’m just wondering what this wear pattern typically means? (Running Restricted X30).

Graining indicates sliding. This shows understeer.

Thanks for the reply.

I lowered my front ride height, would it then follow that I should come out at the front one small spacer each side to compensate for the wheelbase difference? Would this help with understeer?

Yes, widening the front generally helps with understeer.

How come you lowered the front?

I lowered the rear ride height to get rid of mid corner hop, which it did, but my next issue was extremely heavy steering/too much front end grip which lowering the front ride height helped.

What circuit is this at? As it looks like the tires are overheating also, but this could be the track surface causing it.

What chassis is this on?

The graining I get, but what should I look for to see that the tire is overheating?

Track is Ipswich during the week with hardly any karts on it.

Chassis is Parolin Le Mans.

Excessive graining and any form of blistering.
