Full Tilt Enduro

While yall were at Supernats we had our own Stupidnats on Keith’s karts at olde Etowne. A grand old time was had although it was fraught with problems, this, however, is to be expected, and we rolled with it.

Format was a 4hr enduro with 10 stops. We got going on a brisk Sunday morning and got dry weather, which was helpful.

Sadly the fleet had some issues. We went through 3 karts in the practice session only to end up in a kart that only did about 80% throttle. Despite this, Andre qualified 4th and we ran with it.

After some sessions where we did our best to manually pull throttle on the engine lever, we decided to try our luck again and switched karts one final time. This time we got one that had throttle, didn’t stall out, and generally worked.woo-hoo.

So, with a couple hours to go we put our noses down and ground our way back, ultimately finishing 4th, which considering our challenges, was not a bad result!

Our pals @nikspeeds and @RandallC in team Shake and Bake also had some bad luck with karts but got their shit sorted a bit better and sooner. They then abused performance enhancing drugs and broke every rule in the book and finished 2nd. So congrats to team Shake and Bake for their heroic P2!

Despite the kart issues we had a good time and drove well, and had heaps of fun! Thanks FullTilt and David for the fun day. And thanks to Andre Lafond for joining me and working through the problems we had! Great driving, as always!

Looks really good with the ND filter! Nice laps as always!

Kart 3 seemed quick!

I need to try to remember to hang the axle off the EOS kerb like you do. I do it at lightpole but always forget about the big turn. Seems helpful.
