Hey guys quick question before you get started karting do you have to have any license before you start club racing

Nope. Generally the director will keep an eye on things and folks will help explain to folks what’s OK and whats expected. It’s not usually formalized. If you are gonna race with the club, presumably you will have conversations with someone about racing with them.
Someone did link their club “intro” website and they had a really good online breakdown of what was expected and needed to be known, etc. Also, how to get started stuff. Maybe I can find it.

It varies, where are you located?
For example, in the US, generally the answer is no, there is no license requirement.
In the UK, certain series will require you to do whats called an ARKS test.
