Anybody running a gopro 13 black ?? Do you like it just as much as 12 black ? Any problems with it. And thoughts and does it download the same as the 12 ?
Not yet but once they release the anamorphic lens mod I will make the switch. The 13 seems to be mostly a lens mod upgrade version. It doesn’t seem to upgrade resolution.
The camera does now have a series of useful
Lens options (neutral Density, macro, wide).
I am also waiting on the anamorphic lens to make the upgrade.
Does the 13 worth the switch does it run like the 12 navigation wise. have watched videos on it but would like to here from real karters
The 13 seems like it’s a good camera but it doesn’t offer much outside of new lenses and accessories that is new.
There are some improvements in HDR as well but that’s not relevant to 95% of users.
I guess it boils down to price. 12 seems to be available new for 250. 13 is 300. I’d get the newest one for the 50 buck delta.
But will it stay on when mounted rigid on the kart??? The session (non-removable battery) is the only one we have had work on the kart. The 9, 10, and 12 all experience random shutdowns after they get some age. Its from the KA high frequency vibration making the battery vibrate inside the camera. Helmet mount its fine, odenthal with isolator iffy, odenthal without isolator completely awful.
I haven’t had that issue since I am helmet mount. There was a period where the GoPros would shut down due to heat. Only had one 9 that did that. Vibration wise I wouldn’t know.
I never upgrade from one generation to the next (12 to 13, for example). I usually wait 3 before doing anything. Last camera I had was a 9, now I have a 12. Stick with the 12.
