How (not) to use heart rate

Yeah the speed but mainly the grip. Tire, less lateral loading.

Lo206 is comparable power wise to rental gx270. 206 seems to run grippier tires, like what my son used to race in junior 125 tag. But some places run harder tires.

Lo is similar to rentals from a physical perspective, but the LO kart is lighter, and probably on stickier tires.

The difference between low hp 4 stroke and 2 stroke KZ type shifter is massive, from a physical demands perspective. The jump from LO to 125tag like x30 is pretty massive as well.

Interesting. A ~20 beat drop is a lot.

Iā€™ll get some more data from the next race, which will have much more track time and opportunities for me to capture data. Iā€™ll try to remember to start and stop the watch on time too :sweat_smile:

ā€¦with a chest strap, right? :facepunch::wink:

For editing the recording, I donā€™t remember if you can in connect.garmin.com, but you can with www.trainingpeaks.com. Both Garmin Connect and TPā€™s Basic level are free.

Fantastic article, well written and 100% correct. Bravo. After 35 years in high level sports and 4 years with a son in karting, I find every word in this to be spot onā€¦ Thanks for sharing this and I hope parents of young drivers will take interest.

Itā€™s looking like a threesome for the upcoming 6 hour so Iā€™ll log a long stint with hr for our amusement. I can give us a rentals baseline. :checkered_flag:
