So me and my dad had purchased this 2nd hand go kart a few years ago and it had been left rusting in our garden.
We now restoring this go kart and upgrading it and I want to figure out what the go kart looked like before we bought it.
From what I can tell it’s a margay but I can’t figure out what model it is
Theres no label on any part of it
Here’s a picture of the frame with some wheels on it.
The front end looks Margay, but the rear looks like nothing I’ve seen commercially.
Margay’s website has a good vintage kart ad section that may help. Rod Van Deusen’s site also has some historic karts that may get you closer. I’m guessing this is a “mongrel.” (Modified commercial kart, or sophisticated homebrew copy.)
Right so I think I found it.
The one I found has the label “painted dragon” on it but I search that up and nothing I still would like to figure out what model it is
