That was the goal! But permits, viable location etc. never quite lined up.
Still crosses my mind pretty often though. Another idea for a lot we looked at that was very rough in parts… rallycross style on pavement using dirt on the really rough sections. The transitions would be kinda tricky to level off, but it would be been a cool challenge to build and fun to drive.
I don’t think there’s a place operating anywhere in the US that you can do rental dirt karting. That’s bonkers to me considering how huge dirt racing is here. I did stumble across a place in France that did it… But I’ve been unable to find any info since.
We could make it happen with the right investors though, so who knows….

With hard enough tires and asphalt sealer, you can accomplish pretty much the same thing… up in NY there’s an indoor concrete track that throws corn starch down and LOOSE doesn’t begin to describe it! I’m not sure why the karts don’t push also, but the front bites and the rears slide.
RallyKart needs to happen tho.
