Is the race 1/2 hour or 12 hours?
12 it seems. That’s a long race!
@Ruppdartkart how many will be on your team?
Half Hour Race its a monthly series. We just did a 12 hour Race a team of 4 . We had 9 teams. As far away as Upper Michigan.. It was on the livestream link above. In the fall we will be doing a 6 hour endurance race.. During the big endurance events 6hr & 12hr . The owner supplies us with all the telmetrics / Battery voltage of both packs / Voltage of each cell / How cool batteries are staying / And rate of discharge etc… And alot of other info. On the kart we are running. And some other info of competitors Karts. And we make the decision when to change karts.. We also have a headset to driver comm. And a headset to race control comm. All computer info on computer or laptop team supplies. He just sends info out. There are no other K1 Speeds or other electric rental kart tracks doing it we know of. And we run in reverse and forward and different track configurations. Come run with us at a event would love to have any team or person come race with us..
Team of 4 for 12 hours is quite a bit of driving. How many stops do you estimate? How long do you keep the kids out on track at the longest?
Sometimes we will go 1hr+, sometimes we do short heats.
Depends on battery and info we get from kart. We can run 105 laps on most before kart is out of juice. Sometimes we save the best racer for the end. Or to get the head start on competitors with them. Its all about how many laps you run in the end. What ever team has the most laps on course wins. You have to plan you strategy correctly. Sometimes you have a bad kart and want a new one its your choice..
I get all that. For context what is a lap, time wise?
Best time indoor track 25.2 seconds Indoor / Outdoor Track 38.1 seconds is the 2 records Adult Karts Junior Slower
