I reverse-engineered the available number list for Masters and bounced that up against prior Stars entries. It looks like 27-28 entered right now. Not sure about Nyiri.
Lets get 3 or 4 more and break the 30 mark. It will be the first time since Rotax Masters that I can remember getting 30+ Masters on the track.
Here is the list that I reverse-engineered. Some good drivers in the mix but missing Galownia, Mardan, Coello, Kopp, Courter, Prestel and some other midwest fire power.
Andy will be 296, and you’ve got Gerstner in there twice I believe. I’d have to think Bonanno will come as he’s leading the points right? Fagan is a Midwest guy, but not sure if he’s coming after a DQ in Charlotte. I’m pretty sure Tyler will be there.
I do believe that the masters guys have gravitated to Stars and it’s the strongest masters field out there this side of Supernats.
@Ethan_Bokeno and I would love to make an appearance eventually when we find the time. We have fun with a good group of 12-16 Masters that show up at OVKA each week. It’s nice to see good participation numbers for the higher age classes in the big leagues too, now.
Would love to have you and Ethan join us if you aren’t committed otherwise! There will be great competition with 30+ entries. Seems close enough to G&J…
Stars also puts on a top notch event. Always a fun weekend with them.
Makes sense. Coincidentally I was just at Roby’s shop ahead of next weekend and he brought you up. Unfortunately I don’t think Supernats is in my cards this year.
Wish I had time to travel more this year, but life happens. Also the TaG Masters organizer put a lot of our local races on top of the Stars dates this year for whatever reason, which is dumb. Since is pretty competitive I think a lot of guys are just deciding to race the local events instead sadly (it’s all I have time for this year).
We both decided we should try to do cool jumps and stuff off the curbs which resulted in thrown chains. Luckily I got one hot laps before my mistake, his was on the first flier and makes for a more creative fight the rest of the weekend.
He got through to 13th in heat 1 and had pace for the front of the pack so hopefully he’s there for a battle tomorrow
We’ve been scratching our heads most of the weekend wondering where our great pace in Charlotte ran off to. It was encouraging to see the race pace gap close a bit during the first heat at least, but still have a ways to go to properly fight for some hardware. Taking more big swings with the setup for heat 2, hopefully we continue moving the right direction.
Throwing a chain on the first timed lap of qualifying is definitely a tough way to start the weekend. Thankfully I was able to keep it clean in the heats and make up a good amount of spots. 28th to 13th in heat one and 28th to 10th heat two. Let’s hope I didn’t burn up all of the tire life trying to be hard charger.
