Kart rear end maintenance

I currently have my engine and my rear axle out of my kart to replace bearings. Is there anything else I should be doing why I have it all torn apart

Clean, check bearing hanger welds, clean and do any maintenance to brake system.

Check to see if there is too much play between the bearings and the aluminum cassettes. If they can move sideways or up and down in the cassettes, they are probably worn out.

Get a flex hone the size of your axle and run it through all your carriers, hubs, etc. every time you take something off the axle or take it completely apart. Makes removal and install much easier.
