I had been running non O-ring chains on my daughters KA100 kart, but recently switched to O-ring chains. I found myself putting a new chain on after 5 or 6 runs, and I was lubing the chain before and after every run, and making sure the tension was set before each run. In the KA class, you have both types of chains being ran, it just depends on how often you want to put new chains on.
